In non-emergency cases, the first thing to do is to call your primary care provider to find out if you need a consultation with us. However, if you have an emergency, don't wait, call an ambulance and go to the nearest emergency room! The local ER doctor can always contact the RHI Cardiologist on call through the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Operator to arrange transfer. Please address all non-urgent clinical questions to the RHI by phone. Due to privacy concerns, and to make sure we are hearing each other, we do not discuss clinical questions with you over the web. We prefer to have a human-to-human discussion with you and your family regarding your condition.
