Rebecca received a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia in 2008. As an exercise physiology student, she gained an appreciation for the importance of cardiac rehabilitation as well as the diagnostic value of exercise and pharmacological stress testing. She developed a passion for cardiovascular disease prevention and management through this experience. She then returned to her studies to become a Registered Nurse, and subsequently she completed her Masters of Science degree in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2010. While pursuing her nursing education, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Nursing Society. Rebecca has begun coordinating inpatient and outpatient care at the Roanoke Heart Institute, and will also serve as a sub-investigator on our clinical trials.
